Jason Abate explained to the Board details of the Path (Water Divergence Project) down by the river.  Eliminate the gully path by the river; Create a new path at this point on higher ground; Should big gravel go underneath the new path.  Jason feels this would be a problem when the river floods and wash out.  6” of asphalt grindings would be compacted to form the new path.

Next area of discussion was the installation of an asphalt drain at the end of the driveway to the baseball field.

Sara Sustin brought to the attention of the Board, that a new signage board is needed.  The one presently at The Commons is aged and deteriorating.  Jason Abate said he would check with carpenter Marvin Yoder the cost of building a new sign board.

Linda Palchick will contact the Eagle Scout about his project for path signs.

Sara Sustin questioned replacing the baseball team benches.  They are so very low to the ground for grown baseball players.  Dugouts?  Maybe the coaches and “barn raise” the benches.  Scouts built benches at Westwood and Clay Eddy fields.  The Pony League may use our baseball field in 2021.  Sara Sustin stated the Baseball Federation may use the Commons Field as they are not using Westwood’s fields.

Greg Poe questioned if we could connect the 2 paths as a future project.  The baseball field to the lower soccer field.  Can Jason Abate do this…depends on the fall weather.

Facilities – Linda Palchick said there are 2 more weeks of soccer ending the season on November 1.  No Rec Counsel tournament this year. Linda will bill Rec Council $10.00/game.  Rec Council did use the lower field for soccer practice.

Ed Curtis motioned for meeting adjournment at 7:45 p and Rick Izant seconded.  Vote was taken:  Ed, yes; Rick, yes; Linda, yes; Greg, yes; Sara, yes. All in favor, motion carried.

Respectfully submitted,
